Frequently Asked Questions
What is the SDSU Founders' Pledge?
A nonbinding commitment to support SDSU with a gift to a program(s) or initiative(s) that is meaningful to you. You decide the amount of your gift and the time at which you make it. It’s that simple, we ask for nothing up front except your word to give back.
How does it work?
Simply complete the pledge form or contact us to request a hardcopy form. When the timing is right for you — typically, after your company’s IPO, acquisition or steady revenue growth — our team can help arrange your gift to the university.
Is there a minimum dollar amount for my contribution?
No, every gift matters. The SDSU Founders' Pledge program encourages gifts to be “stretch” gifts, marking a notable milestone in your entrepreneurial venture.
Can I designate my gift to any program on campus?
Yes, you may direct your gift to any area of campus. A staff member will work with you to identify areas of interest and help you explore your philanthropic goals. SDSU Founders' Pledge gifts can support existing initiatives and also help the university create entirely new programs.
