SDSU Athletics stands at a pivotal moment in our storied history. With 18 varsity programs and more than 400 athletes, athletics has long been a pillar of excellence on the field, in the classroom, and throughout the San Diego community. Our vision for the future is bold: to become a national leader in collegiate athletics while continuing to develop well-rounded, successful athletes who are champions today, and leaders tomorrow.

Championing the Student-Athlete: Everything starts and ends with our students. We will invest in scholarships, academic resources, leadership development, and the well-being of our athletes to ensure they have every tool to succeed and every reason to choose SDSU and remain an Aztec. This includes a strong recruitment and retention fund in the era of revenue sharing and the transfer portal, so our student-athletes know we can support their dreams wherever they lead.

Elevating Aztecs: To compete with the best, our athletes and coaches need facilities and support that rival the nation's finest. We will enhance the infrastructure that drives excellence—from a state-of-the-art wellness and nutrition center to expanded sports medicine and training facilities, and a cutting-edge broadcast studio that showcases SDSU on the global stage.

Building the Legacy: We know great coaches and mentors change lives, win championships, and embody our values. We will establish endowments to attract and retain top coaches and support staff across all sports. Endowed coaching positions and sport excellence funds provide long-term financial stability and demonstrate a national commitment to excellence. By investing in coaching and operational strength, we build a foundation for sustained success.
